2013 Ventura County Fair
WEDNESDAY, JULY 31 - SUNDAY, AUGUST 11

The Ventura County Fair began in 1875, where the primary focus was horse racing. The fair was enjoyed so much that it continued every year up until today- with the exception of a few years during World War II. The tradition continues with the opening of the 138th Ventura County Fair, themed "Boots, Barns and Banjos". Be a part of Ventura County history and attend the 2013 fair, running July 31 through August 11 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura.

Something for Everyone!
Here comes the 2013 Fair, “Boots, Barns & Banjos”, plan your visit for a day or two or all twelve! From carnival rides to corn dogs, there’s something for everyone! At the fair, you can watch hypnotist shows, listen to live musical performances, or participate in contests. Visit Uncle Leo’s barnyard, the Small Livestock Barns or our new Judge William P. Clark Large Livestock Area to see animals of all shapes and sizes!

Spin, fly or flip on the great rides in the carnival midway. Taste gourmet food and wine pairings at the “Bounty of the County: Peoples’ Choice” contest, or snack on Fair favorites like spiral fries and cotton candy. Relax in the landscaped gardens and check out all of the exhibits and displays. You can enter one of the Junior Fair Boards’ contests and win prizes, too! End the night with a FREE concert with the Grandstand Entertainment series and fireworks over the ocean.

Top Notch Grandstand Concerts

Ventura County Fair Parade and 5K & 1 Mile Run & Walk

There’s nothing like Saturday mornings in summertime. Spending time enjoying the beginning of the weekend with the family can’t be beat. On Saturday, August 3, come to Downtown Ventura and enjoy the fun of the Annual Ventura County Fair Parade, led by this year's Grand Marshal (to be announced soon) The Fair parade steps off on Saturday, August 3 at 10 AM.

While you are waiting for the parade to begin, you won’t want to miss the zany entries competing in the annual Ventura County Fair Costume 5K & 1-Mile Run & Walk. Runners and walkers clad in “Boots, Barns and Banjos” themed costumes will be racing down Main Street beginning at 8 AM. So grab your lawn chair and head down to Main Street in Ventura for the “funnest” summertime parade in Southern California!

Check out the new Livestock Center!
The Ventura County Fair Livestock area has built a barn to house all of the 4H Grange and FFA projects. The Judge William P. Clark Livestock Center adds a country look to the Fairgrounds and offers the exhibitors the facilities they will need to present their animals in a safe, clean and welcoming environment. Stop in and say howdy!
