The Junior Livestock Auction is the culmination of a year’s activity for Ventura County’s 4-H, Grange, FFA and Independent exhibitors.  These young exhibitors select, feed and groom their animals, and learn the process of marketing their animals. The animals are shown to judges at the fair and awarded for the quality of the animal. The Ventura County Fair Junior Livestock Auction is when the animals are sold to the public at an authentic auction. The money raised by each child is used for further educational goals or continuations of marketing projects. The buyer gets the satisfaction of supporting the educational efforts of a local child, helping bolster the future of Ventura County’s agriculture industry and quality food to serve to their families. All are welcome to Bid and Buy at this old fashioned auction, bring a friend and share the cost of the purchase, or purchase an animal for a donation to FOOD Share.

Everywhere you look at the Fair you will see someone singing, dancing, playing music, making magic and more. While there are acts from all over California the Ventura County Fair takes great pride in presenting Ventura County talent. Check the schedule of events for these great local acts and say hello to our neighbors as they take to the stages throughout the Fair. As we work toward going paperless, this year you can find schedules online at www.venturacountyfair.org.
