Academic Rodeo

This competition is postponed until 2023.

(akəˈdemik rōdē-ō): An academic team competition for children belonging to Ventura County schools and organized youth groups.

So, what is it all about?  I am glad you asked.  The Academic Rodeo is an academic team competition for children who at the time of the competition are in or have just completed the 4th or 5th grade for the Academic Ponies, or 6th, 7th and 8th grade for the Academic Stallions.  The competition is postponed until 2023 when it is scheduled to run during the Ventura County Fair including timed quizzes, toss up questions, vocabulary definitions and for the Academic Stallions a spelling bee with prizes given for first, second, third and fourth place. There are no entry fees or costs to participate. Competition will be open to all schools and organized youth groups located in Ventura County.

Who Can Enter
The Academic Rodeo is an academic team competition for children currently in or having completed the 4th and 5th or 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Competition is open to all public, private, parochial and home schools as well as organized youth groups such as but not limited to 4-H, Grange or Boy/Girl Scouts in Ventura County and its surrounding areas.

This competition is postponed until 2023.
