Agriculture
(ag’ ri-kul’ chẽr): The occupation, business, or science of cultivating the land, producing crops, and raising livestock.
About the Department
The mission of this Department is to entertain and educate the community about Ventura County Agriculture.
“If you eat food and wear clothes, you’re involved in Agriculture”
The Agriculture & Natural Resources Building provides a dynamic forum for a great cross-section of Ventura County’s populace. Feature Exhibits showcase the many facets of our local agriculture industry as well as natural resources and museums; interactive displays, activities, and special appearances by area experts provide unique opportunities to educate and entertain fair guests of all ages. This is the building where amateurs and professionals proudly enter their products for competition and display in divisions that include beers, wines, honey, herbs, and the bountiful produce that is the heart of Ventura County.
